We stayed at Lastingham Grange for our wedding anniversary and had a truly lovely experience. The gardens were beautiful and the hotel had a grand but homely feel. The staff treated us like we were the only guests and nothing was too much trouble. Tom and Bertie even offered to transport us to our brewery tour when the weather was dreadful. The food was out of this world, especially the amazing steak. We would gladly go back every year!
Would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very welcoming and homely, with a friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. The location was ideal for quiet walks in nature, and within driving distance of larger towns and the coast.
The accommodation was a bit on the pricey side, but the level of service provided justified the cost. The hotel lacked some modern amenities and had an old-fashioned feel, but this added to the relaxing atmosphere.

The hotel's vintage decor reminded me of my childhood home, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere. The common areas were immaculately maintained, providing a cozy space to relax and reminisce. As a senior, I appreciated the easy accessibility throughout the hotel, with no stairs to navigate and convenient handrails in the hallways.
It would have been even more delightful if the children working there had been a little more attentive to the needs of us senior guests.

Mind-blowing experience at this hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredible owners and their well-trained, smily staff. The beautiful house exuded character, and our airy and comfortable room overlooked the jaw-dropping garden. The food was top-notch, with delicious dinner and breakfast options. A true paradise on earth, surrounded by a picturesque village, perfect for hiking and cycling. Free wi-fi, parking, and an electric kettle in the room added convenience. We were even treated to a delightful Easter surprise! Will definitely return for more unforgettable moments!

I had the most amazing stay at a charming hotel with incredible staff, delicious food, and beautiful gardens. The level of service was outstanding, and they made me feel like a VIP throughout my entire stay. I even received a special Easter chocolate egg as a surprise treat. The hotel is located in a picturesque village with great walks and a proper English cottage feel. The room I stayed in was comfortable, clean, and had lovely views of the garden. The breakfast selection was excellent, with cooked-to-order options and a variety of fresh fruits and cereals. The staff went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday celebration memorable, singing happy birthday and even serving a cake I brought. The attention to detail was incredible, from the fast and accessible WiFi to the handmade shortbread biscuits in the room. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, and I will definitely be returning.
